Family property disputes
Over the last 35 years, Chris has been retained in numerous family property disputes. Most engagements involve the valuation of a company, business or other asset, or the estimation of income for support purposes.
Fortunately, the vast major of cases settle without the need for a trial. Arbitration, collaborative dispute resolution and mediation are far superior, cheaper and quicker methods of resolving these types of disputes.
Chris has also authored a course module on matrimonial and shareholder disputes for the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators. It discusses many of the unique issues that can arise in family property disputes. Go to Unique issues in family property disputes.
